The role of the Chaplain is multi-faceted in his or her service to the Emergency Services personnel and can respond to the diverse religious values of a department’s membership.
The Chaplain often plays the role of comforter to Firefighters, Police Officers, Medics, and other Emergency Service personnel workers during difficult times. The Chaplain will also be there to celebrate promotional processes, banquets, marriages, births, and other exciting times responders often experience throughout a career.
A Chaplain will also be there to assist the chief and command staff by focusing on the needs of citizens adversely impacted during critical incidents or times of catastrophe.
